Do you have furniture that is no longer being used in your home?
Are you looking for a way to help those facing poverty?
Well look no further, as rehoming your second-hand furniture has never been easier! CARE are in desperate need of furniture donations to keep our furniture project running.
By donating your old furniture, you can help improve the lives of those who are struggling.
For many people in poverty, buying furniture can be a significant challenge. With the Cost-of-Living crisis, post Covid and job opportunities shrinking, people are struggling to buy essentials for their home. Especially those renting or buying their first homes, or moving into a new place after being homeless. These donations provide much-needed comfort and convenience to people in poverty, and can give people a sense of ownership, pride, and stability as they rebuild their lives.
Any unwanted and unused furniture donations are always welcome. You can drop off your donations at the back of the CARE Shop, located 46-47 Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes. Or you can arrange a collection from our lovely van team by calling us on, 01472 232312.
We are always in need of the following:
Sofas and armchairs (but with the fire label attached)
Bed frames and/or clean mattresses (again with the fire label)
Wardrobes
Drawer units
Dining tables & chairs
Other donations include:
Dinner sets
Pots & pans
Cooking utensils
Cots
Baby/children's furniture
Please make sure, before donating, that the furniture still has life left in it. The damage is minimal to none and the fire hazard tags are still attached.
You can make a difference to struggling families in furniture poverty. If everyone takes just a few minutes out of their day to donate their unwanted items, we can help make a real impact! So if you have any used furniture that you no longer need, don't hesitate to donate it to CARE!
For more information call us on 01472 232312.
